Huntsville Public Library Master Plan
“The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library.”
~ Albert Einstein ~
“Libraries always remind me that there are good things in this world.”
~ Lauren Ward ~
Huntsville is growing, and its library services need to grow in tandem with the community. A comprehensive plan that reflects community priorities for the library is necessary to guide the library over the next 20 years.
The Master Plan
The Huntsville Public Library is preparing a Master Plan to guide the planning, budgeting, implementation, and service delivery of the library, as outlined in the Pillars of the Huntsville Public Library Strategic Plan. The Plan aims to enhance the library’s services, promote literacy within, improve community quality of life, and contribute to a stronger sense of community.
With the help of Huntsville residents, service providers, and user groups, the Plan will explore current and future needs and develop strategies to optimize spaces and assets, expand programming, and integrate what is already available but potentially underutilized.
The Master Plan will be based on research (community needs, population changes, trends, services) and public input.
The Survey
The Huntsville Public Library would love to have your input during this first round of public input, through this survey, which will be open from August 5th to September 5th. At the conclusion of filling out the survey, there is an option to provide contact details, separate from the survey response, to be entered into a draw for $100.00 in Downtown dollars.
