What is a Strategic Plan and why is it important?

The plan identifies the Corporation’s mission, vision and values and guides us in determining strategic priority areas with a number of goals and objectives to implement. Our current plan is comprised of six strategic priority areas which include Economic Development, Health Care and Wellness, Natural Environment & Sustainability, Roads and Infrastructure, Financial Management and Governance and Communications.

With the 2018-2022 term of Council well underway, the Town of Huntsville is in the process of reviewing our current – Strategic Plan – 2017 and Beyond – to ensure we are continuing to meet the needs of our Community. Many of the objectives have been implemented, and as this is a living document, it is time to revisit our road-map and hear from you on what matters!

    We would like to notify residents that we will be holding a public consultation session to seek feedback on our strategic plan updates. Join us Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 – 5:00pm at the Maple Festival in Downtown Huntsville. Our booth will be located by Town Hall where town staff will be onsite to seek feedback on our current plan and residents visions for the future; what can we do today to ensure that Huntsville is a vibrant place to live, work and play for future generations?
