The Town of Huntsville wants to hear from you!
We're seeking the community’s feedback on how they would like to see fireworks regulated and the responses will help inform a review of the Fireworks By-law. The survey asks respondents to provide their feedback on two types of fireworks:
- Consumer Fireworks are outdoor, low hazard fireworks that are designed for recreational purposes. These are the fireworks that can be purchased at licensed retailers and are often set off for recreational use in celebration of a statutory holiday or personal celebration (wedding, birthday etc.).
- Display Fireworks are outdoor, high hazard fireworks that are designed for professionally licensed holders only. Display Fireworks are authorized through the Huntsville & Lake of Bays Fire Department as per the Explosives Act (R.S.C., 1985, Chapter E-17).
We are seeking public input in the review of the Fireworks By-law which governs the use of Consumer and Display Fireworks in the Town of Huntsville.
The survey will close on October 3, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
