We want to know what you think
The Town of Huntsville has completed the 5-year business plan for the Algonquin Theatre. See the plan here.
The Algonquin Theatre officially opened its doors on May 14, 2005 to a full house of supporters. Opening week was filled with excitement as a vision was being realized in Huntsville. The Algonquin Theatre is part of the Huntsville Civic Centre, in the heart of downtown Huntsville.
The Algonquin Theatre, home of the Huntsville Festival of the Arts, has been host to a wide variety of plays, musical performances, meetings, videos, presentations, and school groups. The Theatre has offered outstanding performances from comedians to orchestras, from elementary school plays to musicians of international acclaim.
At the entrance of the Algonquin Theatre, you will have the opportunity to view the breath-taking bronze statue of Tom Thomson, created by sculptor, Brenda Wainman-Goulet. This piece of art kicks off the start of an exciting artistic experience within Partners’ Hall, located inside the Theatre; every month has something new to enjoy, curated by the Huntsville Art Society.
Our space is for the many and not for the few. The Algonquin Theatre strives to be the venue of choice for area events, attractions, and meetings.
