The Huntsville/Lake of Bay Fire Department recruits firefighters annually. The department will be hosting a online information session Wednesday February 23, 2022 at 7:00pm. The session will highlight what it takes to be a volunteer firefighter, training expectations, the application process and participant questions.

    Is previous fire training and/or testing required before participation?

    How close to a fire station do you have to live to join?

    The distance to a fire hall is a consideration but there is no set boundary.
