by Bblngr, over 5 years agoHuntsville was not the town that I was born in but the town that I chose to retire in. Growing up in Lakeview Ontario, which is now Mississauga, the little town grew enormously. I no longer connect with that town called Lakeview...it was swallowed! Huntsville reminds me of that little town, only better with its many lakes, forests, rivers and spectacular beauty! The people here have been welcoming, warm, accountable and friendly. by Jer5230, over 5 years agoWe have an outstanding community thanks to the dedication and commitment of our residents. It is everyone's responsibility to maintain and improve on our quality of life here. We have good road maintenance, good waste management, good family based facilities and programs and Good public safety programs such as fire, policing and emergency services. These are delivered based on reasonable taxes to support these programs.
There is definitely opportunities for improvement in the areas of bylaw enforcement, land use management and the protection of our environment. Having unwelcome behaviours and unacceptable / inappropriate situations are both unfortunately a part of... Continue reading

Born at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital in the mid-80's (which sounds forever ago!), I grew up here with so many childhood memories of our area. Following College graduation, I stuck around London for a few months and as much as I wanted to now consider myself a re-invented town girl, turned city girl, there was a huge piece of home missing that no city could ever fulfill.
