  • Fireworks By-law Update

    On February 24th, 2020 Town Council for the Corporation of the Town of Huntsville passed the Fireworks By-law.

    It has now been sent to the Ministry of the Attorney General's Office for approval.

    Staff presented the report "Fireworks Public Consultation and By-Law" to the Operations and Protective Services Committee on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. You can access and read the report here: https://huntsvilleon.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/32008

    Committee voted in favour of the recommendation that was presented in the report.

    The next step is for the report recommendation to be presented to Council for ratification. This will happen at the February Council meeting. The agenda will be available on the website: https://calendar.huntsville.ca/meetings/Index

    Thank you to everyone who took time to complete the questionnaire regarding the sale and use of fireworks in Huntsville. We received over 150 responses.

    Staff are reviewing results and writing a report that will be presented at the Operations and Protective Services Committee on January 29th. The report will be posted at least 3 business days in advance as part of the committee agenda package to: https://calendar.huntsville.ca/meetings/Index

    We want to know how you think the sale and use of fireworks should be regulated in the Town of Huntsville.
